The Shack has launched nine meals exclusively in frozen food retailer Iceland, inspired by the flavours of American cuisine.
The meals have been made available nationwide in Iceland stores from this month, with recommended retail prices ranging from £2 to £2.50. Individual product variants include an “ultimate burger” with bacon, barbecue pulled pork and mature cheddar, and a pulled chicken burrito topped with smoky sauce.
The Shack meals draw on the slow cooking and “melt in your mouth” flavours of the American food movement and are “full of flavour”, the brand said.
Signature dishes in the range also include spicy chicken fajitas with dips, a take on macaroni cheese containing Monterey Jack, and the divisive chicken and buffalo sauce waffle – breaded chicken breast on top of a sweet waffle with a buffalo sauce.
The range will allow consumers to share an Americana experience with friends and family, and as part of the launch The Shack is offering consumers the chance to win one of five widescreen HD televisions or one of 50 selfie sticks. Fans can simply post photos of their meals on social media using the hashtag #sharetheshack to be in with a chance of winning.
