Consumer packaged goods companies and converters can now create value-added transparent PVdC-free laminations that provide an excellent oxygen and moisture barrier, which help keep foods fresh, flavourful and aromatic.
Versatile, heat-sealable CBS2 BOPP film also offers end users an alternative to coated OPP and PET films and is the more economical choice when compared with aluminium oxide (AlOx)-coated films.
“PVdC is not acceptable to today’s end users who want a clear barrier film that is environment-friendly,” said Kerri Boyens, product manager, Torayfan Division. “PVdC-free CBS2 film is an innovative solution that offers excellent barrier functionality without PVdC’s environmental issues.”
