Fairtrade organisation Traidcraft has unveiled two delicious flavours in its new Oaty Biscuits range: mature cheddar cheese, and black pepper and poppy seed.
Available direct from Traidcraft and its stockists with a retail price of £2 per box, the moreish biscuits are perfect as a satisfying snack or accompaniment to cheese.
Traidcraft seeks to transform the lives of producers in the developing world by enabling them to trade their way out of poverty. Among the company’s high quality ingredients is Fairtrade rice flour, pepper and organic palm oil.
Traidcraft product marketing manager Jenny File said: “At Traidcraft we have decades of experience in developing and innovating new Fairtrade products, and we’re really excited to be launching yet another Fairtrade first for the UK in our new savoury biscuit range.
“We’ve had fantastic feedback on our biscuits so far and we’re confident they are set to be another great Fairtrade product in our range.
“We’re all about making a difference to the lives of people in developing countries and it’s great to think that every pack of biscuits bought in the run up to Christmas and beyond directly contributes to helping smallholder farmers earn a fair wage and keep their families out of poverty.”
