Premium ice cream brand Amore di Gelato has developed a new rum and raisin flavour in order to meet demand for “mature” ice cream flavours.
The latest addition to the luxury range uses the finest Belgian cream to create its signature white and dark rum swirl, which is then infused with a smooth raisin sauce to help operators form the perfect scoop. The raisin sauce complements the use of both white and dark Jamaican rum, and has been used in response to consumer feedback that suggested many people did not like the fruit’s texture when whole.
The new ice cream is packed in 2.4 litre tubs, which serves around 25 portions, with a retail price of £15.35.
Amore di Gelato managing director Mike Godwin said: “When it comes to creating ice cream, we believe in making the very best that chefs can be proud of serving in their restaurants. That’s why, we’ve taken the time to get our new rum and raisin offering just right, by sourcing the highest quality ingredients and investing in the best way to get the perfect scoop!”
“The new product taps into the latest trend for ‘twists on traditional’ and helps chefs to offer their diners the complete range of flavours for whatever mood they’re in.”
