The world’s largest manufacturer of high-quality chocolate products, Barry Callebaut, has inaugurated a chocolate academy in one of the key business neighbourhoods of central Dubai.
The academy will add to the company’s network of training centres worldwide, but is its first in the Middle East. Under the leadership of chef Philippe Marand, it will offer a diverse range of seminars, demonstrations, workshops and courses designed to impart practical advice and craftsmanship to its students in areas including chocolate, pastry and baking.
Philippe Marand said: “With our new… center we aim to empower all chocolate professionals in the region to create and express themselves beyond the technical barrier with this wonderful material which is chocolate.
“Chefs and confectioners hardly find an occasion or a place where they can further develop their skills, learn from experienced expert teachers and exchange new ideas among each other. Our new training center for chocolate here in Dubai is… a unique place where we are cultivating an atmosphere of curiosity, creativity and inspiration for both professionals and chocolate lovers.”
