Coldpress, the manufacturer of cold pressed fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies, has appointed five new distributors to meet retailer demand for its on-the-go 250ml range and to increase nationwide availability of its full product selection.
The benefits of Coldpress juices for retailers include a longer shelf life that means minimal waste and increased profits, plus the products’ proven nutritional advantages over pasteurised alternatives. Together, the advantages of cold pressed juices have led to increased demand throughout the UK.
Coldpress will work with Marigold Health Foods, Queenswood Natural Foods, Fife Creamery, Windsor Food Service and Simply Heavenly Foods to fulfil the growing distribution requirements throughout England, Scotland and Wales to independent retailers, cafés, health food outlets, gyms, schools and food service companies. Coldpress will continue to sell-in products to major grocers.
The 250ml bottles of Coldpress smoothies – including coconut, pineapple and banana; mango and passion fruit; raspberry, pear and apple; and strawberry and banana – all contain 250% of the daily requirement of vitamin C, compared with around 75% for conventional pasteurised smoothies.
Andrew Gibb, managing director of Coldpress Foods, said: “Our cold pressed range of juices and smoothies are up to 20% cheaper, packed with two and a half times more vitamin C and retain more fruit flavour than other premium pasteurised drinks.
“You need to drink less of our juices to get your daily quota of vitamins and antioxidants, therefore taking in less sugar compared to pasteurised equivalents. Our juices are actively driving the war on sugar and providing the juice market with an innovative growth area.
“We’re delighted to be working with our recently appointed distributors to bring retailers an exciting and profitable addition to the juice category.”
The distributors will deliver orders on the full Coldpress product range, which is available in 250ml, 500ml, 750ml and 1 litre bottles.
