Häagen-Dazs is launching two seasonal flavours in the UK for winter indulgence – one returning and one brand new.
As colder weather sets in, the brand said it is responding to demand for rich, indulgent flavours as the fresher, fruitier tastes of summer are replaced.
Häagen-Dazs is bringing back its rum raisin variant made using whole raisins from California ‘that have been soaked in rum for 42 days, providing a rich, flavourful experience infused with just the right hint of warmth’.
A new salted caramel cheesecake has also been unveiled which delivers a ‘delectable mouth feel both with its taste and texture’.
Häagen-Dazs UK and Northern Europe marketing head Arjoon Bose said the new ice creams tie in perfectly with the autumn-winter occasion as well as meet the ever demanding British taste palate.
“Rum raisin is one of our global cult classics and we’re sure its reintroduction will be popular among Häagen-Dazs fans,” he said.
“Salted caramel cheesecake is a marriage between two moreish flavours – the former being a major culinary trend of recent years – and we are excited to reveal this exciting innovation to consumers and shoppers tapping into big night in occasions as winter approaches.
“We champion indulgence and premium quality and with rum raisin and salted caramel cheesecake, we are now able to introduce an iconic as well as a re-imagined flavour set that bring to life our brand essence. We think our seasonal editions hit the spot as the perfect accompaniment to share on a crisp autumn wintery evening for the mixture of cold and warm that the occasion warrants.”
Both variants are now available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £5.35.
Earlier this year the brand ventured into the non-dairy section with the launch of four vegan flavours in the US.
