The impressive range of entries in the Best environmental sustainability or CSR initiative category of the World Food Innovation Awards 2015, highlights a number of important trends. Here, Claire Rowan looks at the innovations that are driving this category.
Entries reflect the inspiring commitment in the industry to achieving a zero net impact on the environment through collaboration, investment in technology, and a holistic approach to sustainability underpinned by transparency of purpose and actions, plus enhanced communication to encourage greater buy-in from all players in the supply chain including consumers.
Finalists and winners in the 15 categories of the World Food Innovation Awards 2015 will be announced at a special ceremony at IFE at ExCel in London on 23 March. The IFE World Food Innovation Awards are sponsored by Tetra Pak.
