Ben & Jerry’s has unveiled the latest permanent addition to its ice cream line-up in the US, Churray for Churros. The ice cream giant’s newest product innovation brings nostalgic flavours to the freezer aisle, as the tubs “celebrate all the best components of a churro: crunchy buttery texture, cinnamon and sugar”. Natalia Butler, Ben & Jerry's technical project leader at Unilever, said: “It was years in the making and we're excited to finally have churro in the line-up. Those flavours resonate with a lot of people and bring back so many memories, especially for us at Ben & Jerry's.” She continued: “We interpreted the crunchy, sugary exterior of the churro into a swirl and buttery cinnamon ice cream for this flavour, while the cake-like interior texture of a churro is incorporated as soft, indulgent pieces throughout”. Churray for Churros will launch into retailers across the US over the coming days for an RRP of $5.99-$6.49.
