Crystal Farms Dairy Co has added a new flavour to its Seasoned Collection of shredded cheeses: Dill Pickle.
The new variety combines Monterey Jack cheese with dill pickle seasoning and joins existing flavours Garlic & Herb and Zesty Ranch. Crystal Farms says the product is aimed at consumers looking for bold, recipe-ready ingredients.
Andrew Cannon, associate director of marketing at Crystal Farms, commented: “Our consumers have been asking for more unique and bold flavours – and they’re especially excited about anything pickle. Through consumer research, kitchen visits and market analysis, it became clear that shoppers want bold, recipe-ready cheeses. Dill Pickle delivers on that in a fun and flavourful way.”
The company developed the flavour using its in-house seasoning capabilities and sources its dairy from Midwest producers. The Dill Pickle shreds are intended for use in dishes like burgers, dips, potato salads or as a snack on their own.
The limited-time product is available exclusively at Target stores across the Upper Midwest starting this summer.
