Greatview, a global supplier of aseptic carton packaging solutions, has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Perugia, Italy, through its major shareholder, NewJF.
This expansion is strategically aimed at meeting the increasing demand for locally produced, sustainably manufactured packaging solutions within Europe.
The facility, named 'Greatview Italy,' has been developed in collaboration with CG Europoligrafico, an established Italian manufacturer of advanced packaging with a history dating back to 1928.
The new plant is designed to provide high-quality aseptic carton packaging specifically for liquid food products, catering to the needs of dairy and beverage producers seeking reliable packaging partners.
The first product to be launched from the new facility is the 200ml Slim Brick Plus. This packaging solution features a robust polymer barrier, enhancing product safety and distribution resilience for sensitive liquids.
Importantly, the materials used in production will be sourced from certified sustainably managed forests, aligning with Greatview's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Victor Lee, group executive president – international and executive director at Greatview, said: “Our extensive market analysis and discussions with potential customers indicate a strong demand for high-quality aseptic packaging solutions among beverage and dairy producers".
He continued: "The new plant enhances our capabilities and market presence in the region, providing customers with local support, cost-effective options, and improved supply chain flexibility”.
Greatview Italy operates under a rigorous environmental policy that adheres to international certification standards, including ISO 9001, BRC and FSC. The facility is designed to conduct systematic assessments aimed at continuous operational improvement and environmental protection.
As the third-largest aseptic packaging solution provider globally, Greatview aims to leverage this new facility to strengthen its market position in Europe.
The company, established in 2003 and now part of NewJF, operates eleven production facilities worldwide, boasting an annual capacity of over 50 billion packs. This scale allows for significant investment in tech and innovation, enhancing Greatview's operational efficiency and service offerings.
