Hormel Foods brings spicy twist to its Spam Fritters
Hormel Foods-owned brand Spam has introduced a spicy variation to its traditional Spam Fritter with the debut of Spam Southern Fried Fritters. Covered in a Southern Fried seasoning with a crispy, golden batter, Spam Southern Fried Fritters can be baked directly from the freezer in 15-20 minutes. Jelsey Barnes, commercial sales manager at Hormel Foods Corporation, commented: “This is a paring of two American classics that will offer UK Spam fans a unique twist on their favourite fritter. The Southern Fried seasoning complements Spam perfectly and makes a quick and easy meal, served with accompaniments such as potato wedges and a corn-on-the-cob.” Spam Southern Fried Fritters will be available in a pack of four frozen units for around £2.50 at Iceland stores across the UK.
