Parents to sue Sanlu Group in milk scandal

According to a CNN report, lawyers said they had not heard of any other civil lawsuit being filed in response to the melamine contamination.

The parents of the sick infant, who is still being treated at Beijing Children's Hospital, is seeking 150,000 Yuan (£12,340 or $21,904) in compensation from the dairy company, and this amount could rise.

Last month, Sanlu Group admitted that, during a self-check, it found that some of its baby milk powder products were contaminated by tripolycyanamide (melamine).
