Patriot Pickle, a manufacturer of fresh pickles and fermented foods, has officially opened a new production facility in Garland, Texas. This facility represents a significant step in the company's growth strategy and is expected to create approximately 75 jobs in the local community.
The new facility, completed in just nine months, will more than triple Patriot Pickle's production capacity, allowing the company to enhance its service to foodservice and grocery retail markets across the US. With this expansion, Patriot aims to streamline its operations and improve delivery times, ensuring that fresh, 'farm to package' pickles reach customers within five days.
Bill McEntee, founder of Patriot Pickle, and Adam Ricci, said: "The opening of a new production facility in Garland is a major step forward for Patriot Pickle. We’re eager to work with the Garland community as we invest in and grow the local economy."
This expansion follows the recent acquisition of Patriot Pickle by H.I.G. Capital, a global investment firm. The partnership aims to accelerate the company's growth trajectory, capitalising on the increasing demand for high-quality fermented products.
Justin Reyna, managing director at H.I.G. Capital, noted: "The Company has experienced significant growth since it was founded two decades ago and is now poised for major expansion".
As consumer preferences shift towards fresh and locally sourced products, manufacturers like Patriot Pickle are adapting to meet these demands. The new facility is equipped with advanced production technologies designed to enhance efficiency while maintaining product quality.
Patriot Pickle, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey, delivers high-quality pickles to thousands of restaurants, delis and supermarkets across North America.
With a diverse range of products, including various cuts and flavours, the company is well-positioned to leverage its expanded capacity to meet growing market needs.
