Around Noon purchases The Soho Sandwich Co
UK food-to-go manufacturer Around Noon has purchased The Soho Sandwich Company for an undisclosed amount. Founded as a small coffee shop in North London over 23 years ago, The Soho Sandwich Company manufactures and distributes more than 15 million sandwiches yearly. Around Noon produces a range of chilled, hot, frozen and bakery products from five manufacturing sites across the UK and Ireland. The deal will also see Around Noon acquire a new facility located in London, UK, and a range of valuable clients. A total of over 300 employees have been added to Around Noon as a result of the acquisition. The company said that Soho Sandwich Company will continue to operate under its own brand within the Around Noon group and will service its existing customers across the food service, retail, events and hospitality channels. Around Noon's chairman, Howard Farquhar, commented: “This deal will enable Around Noon to continue to scale and grow and moves the business closer to its £100 million revenue target. This deal is the third acquisition to have occurred...It is also a significant opportunity for the team at The Soho Sandwich Company and their existing customers.” The company will continue to be managed by its existing managing director, Daniel Silverston. Silverton said: “Around Noon is, in our view, one of the most innovative and exciting FTG companies in the UK. The opportunity to become part of the Around Noon Group is a huge win for our business. There are great synergies in terms of ambition and culture, and the move is extremely beneficial for our team and our customers.”
