Sports nutrition company Myprotein has teamed up with confectionery brand Jelly Belly to launch a new limited-edition protein bar. The new buttered popcorn-flavoured bar contains 20g of hydrolysed whey protein and is high in fibre, while low in sugar. The bars are made up of six layers including two layers of protein dough, a layer of caramel, protein crisps, a white chocolate coating, topped with a layer of buttered popcorn.
This is the latest in a number of innovations from the Myprotein brand. In March, it partnered with UK-based pastry and dough manufacturer BakeAway on a range of ready-to-eat protein pancakes. The same month, Myprotein collaborated with Jimmy’s on a new protein-enriched RTD iced cofee, and in December it introduced a new ‘Iron Brute’ flavour of its clear whey powder. The buttered popcorn-flavoured layered bars are available to purchase now for an RRP of £17.99 per 6-pack.
