Next Century Spirits buys Southwest Spirits & Wine spirits brands

Next Century Spirits (NCS) has announced the acquisition of six brands formerly owned by Southwest Spirits & Wine (SSW). According to the company, the acquisition marks a crucial move in NCS's goal to expand its brand portfolio and solidify its position as 'one of industry's top spirits suppliers'. The deal will see NCS gain ownership of the Nue Vodka brand, which boasts an annual volume of approximately 220,000 9-litre cases across 29 states. Additionally, it will acquire The Other 49 Bourbon, Sixty Men Bourbon, Calamity Gin, Henderson Whiskey and George Ocean Rum. The brands join NCS' portfolio, which includes Bear Fight American Single Malt Whiskey, Numbskull Cool Mint & Chocolate Flavored Whiskey, Creek Water American Whiskey and the ready-to-drink Caddy Cocktails. Anthony Moniello, co-CEO of NCS, said: "We are thrilled to expand our portfolio with this collection of brands, including Nue Vodka. Our ambition is to become a trusted, long-term spirits partner with a diverse portfolio and the recent acquisition of SSW brand assets allows us to diversify our business and accelerate our timeline." Rob Mason co-CEO of NCS, added: "We're excited to expand the Next Century Spirits portfolio to meet the demands of consumers. Southwest Spirits portfolio is a fantastic collection of young brands that fits key consumer trends and gets us into the vodka, gin, and bourbon categories in a big way."
