NIO Cocktails has introduced four new cocktails centred around coffee and tea, Cold Brew Negroni, Revolver, Tea Martini and Manhat-tea.
NIO Cocktails, which stands for ‘needs ice only,’ is a premium premixed Italian cocktail brand. The beverages come in small square paper packets, which consumers need to shake, tear and pour over ice.
Cold Brew Negroni unites coffee with the classic Italian negroni cocktail, containing Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Cocchi Storico Vermouth Di Torino and Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur. The Revolver provides notes of dark chocolate liqueur with coffee and hints of orange and vanilla, blending Bulleit Bourbon Whisky, Bols Creme de Cacao Brown, Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and Angostura Bitter Aromatic.
Tea Martini combines Ketel One Family Made Vodka, Tea Liqueur T+, Toschi Cane Sugar Syrup and Citric Acid to provide a crisp and tangy taste, while the Manhat-tea blends Bulleit Bourbon, T+ Tea Liqueur, Cocchi Storico Vermouth Di Torino, Cocchi Storico Vermouth Di Torino Dry and Angostura Aromatic Bitter to provide a rich, spicy and fruity cocktail.
The cocktails are crafted in Italy by mixologist Patrick Pistolesi, owner of Italian bar Drink Kong. Pistolesi said: “ unites two essential Italian rituals in one: the all-important daily coffee and the iconic aperitivo brought together in one glass. All around the world, coffee cocktail connoisseurs are on the increase and the combination of coffee with a classic cocktail really elevates it to best-seller status.” Commenting on the Manhat-tea, Pistolesi added: “The Manhattan is one of those classic whiskey cocktails that always calls to mind the buzz of New York. The spiciness of Bulleit Bourbon gives its typical American character while the two famous Italian Cocchi Vermouths and tea liqueur turn out a cocktail with a great international flair.” The new cocktails are available to purchase now at various retailers in packs of 3, 6 or 9, at an RRP of £19.50, £39.00 and £55.00, respectively.
