Seedlip founder releases non-alcoholic bitters

Seedlip founder releases non-alcoholic bitters

Ben Branson, the founder of Seedlip – the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits – has launched a new independent brand: Seasn. Unlike most brands of bitters Seasn Light and Seasn Dark are non-alcoholic and designed to be added to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Seasn Light provides notes of fresh-cut grass, lime and grapefruit peel, clean bitterness from the Andrographis paniculata plant (also known as the king of bitters) and saltiness from kombu and sea salt. Seasn Dark is spicy, with aromatic flavours of kola nut, smoked cherrywood, star anise and cinnamon, with bitterness derived from the king of bitters plant, black pepper, mushroom and cocoa. Seasn Light and Dark are the initial products from Branson’s non-alcoholic venture: Pollen Projects – an independent brand and business development company. Developed over five years by Branson himself, Seasn represents the idea of seasoning drinks in the same way as seasoning food. Branson said: “I am so excited to launch Seasn and introduce foodies to the potential and possibilities of seasoning their drinks with our delicious, intense liquids". Seasn Light and Dark are both vegan, allergen-free and alcohol-free, and are available online.
