White Claw expands into premium vodka market

White Claw expands into premium vodka market

Mark Anthony Group has expanded its offering under its hard seltzer brand, White Claw, with the launch of White Claw Premium Vodka and a quartet of RTD vodka soda cans. According to the brand, the new spirit is the world’s first ‘Triple Wave Filtered’ vodka, made with a first-of-its-kind filtration process that uses pressure equivalent to three 30-foot waves to create a vodka with distinctive taste, aroma and smoothness. The vodka is made with American grain and is distilled five times in copper-plated columns. The ‘Triple Wave’ filtration method is said to have the same smoothing effect on the vodka that ocean waves have on stones and is filtered through activated carbon from charred coconut shells. Anthony von Mandl, founder and CEO of The Mark Anthony Group, said: “We spent almost a decade researching and developing a new way to show drinkers what complexity looks, tastes, and feels like within the minimalist experience of vodka. We created one of the most complex production processes of any vodka in the world to produce a vodka unlike any other.” The ‘Triple Wave’ filtered vodka is available in four varieties, classic, at 40% ABV, and Mango, Black Cherry and Pineapple, at 30% ABV. As part of its expansion into vodka, the brand has also launched RTD White Claw Vodka + Soda, a new quartet of 4.5% ABV 100-calorie canned cocktails made with the ‘Triple Wave’ filtered vodka, available in Pineapple, Peach, Wild Cherry, and Watermelon flavours. The new vodka-based drinks are available in select retailers across North America.
