Beech-Nut Nutrition Company, a manufacturer of baby and toddler food, has introduced a range of new smoothie, yogurt and snack products. The new innovations are made with ingredients like whole milk yogurt, fruit and vegetables. They aim to provide “fun and flavourful food options that discerning parents are looking for,” said the company’s senior brand director, Jon Harrington. 'Organic Fruit and Yogurt Jars with Prebiotics' will be available in two flavours, banana berry and banana orange, suitable for babies aged six months and above. The jars are USDA-certified organic, made with whole milk yogurt, fruit and non-GMO ingredients. For babies aged 12 months and above, 'Smoothies with Prebiotics' are available in two flavours: apple, cherry, kiwi, purple carrot and yogurt; and banana, mango, passionfruit and yogurt. The smoothie pouches, also containing fruit and whole milk yogurt, contain no added sweeteners. Additionally, two new on-the-go snack lines are launching, made with real fruit. 'Jammin’ Waffles' feature a pair of toasted mini waffles with the addition of a fruit filling. Introduced in two flavours – pear raspberry and peach mango – the waffles are free from artificial flavours and ideal for babies aged 12 months and above. Each flavour is available in a box of five packs, with two waffles per pack. Finally, a variety pack of 'Fruit Bites with Hidden Veggies' will feature blueberry apple quinoa, and apple chia, flavoured fruit chews. The larger pack contains 12 individual serving-size bags, suitable for toddlers 18 months and above. They are gluten-free, non-GMO and contain no artificial colours or flavours. The products are rolling out this month at Walmart and other retailers across the US.
