Bericap will show a variety of new closure concepts at Interpack 2008 especially designed for the food, beverage and chemical industry.
Light weighting of closures is the latest trend due to increase of resin costs. At the same time, users of plastic closures need to save costs. Light weightening is the major contribution of Bericap to sustainability of packaging, respectively the saving of non-renewable resources.
With the SuperShorty closure and the HexaLite range of lightweight closures for new lightweight PET neck finishes, Bericap is committed to sustainable packaging for lower plastic resin consumption and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
The SuperShorty crown (or CSD) design for carbonated beverages combined with neck PCO 1881 offers up to a 2g weight saving. The range of HexaLite closures for still water fits on the lightweight neck standards for water 26 and 29/25.
Lightweight closures for PCO 1881 (28mm) and sports caps complete the product portfolio.
Bericap will also present the lightweight, 2-piece flip-top closure solution Galileo II – for edible oil and vinegar. Galileo II fits on the new 26/21mm lightweight neck finish, offering remarkable weight reduction – up to 1.8 g compared to the adoption on the traditional 29/21 mm predecessor.
Interpack 2008 takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, 24-30 April. The Bericap stand will be in Hall 10, booth E67.
