CRC Industries launches eco-friendly Ambersil Hydropower Degreaser

CRC Industries has introduced Ambersil Hydropower, a new water-based degreaser designed to meet the needs of food and beverage manufacturers seeking to enhance operational efficiency while minimising environmental impact.

This product is part of CRC Industries' Green Force platform, which emphasises sustainable solutions for industrial users.

Ambersil Hydropower is an NSF-approved, neutral pH solution that effectively removes grease, oil and grime from mechanical parts and surfaces, matching the performance of traditional solvent-based cleaners.

The formulation is notable for being biodegradable, with over 60% biodegradability according to OECD 301 standards, and contains no harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC) or hydrocarbon solvents.

The launch of this degreaser aligns with increasing regulatory scrutiny and consumer demand for environmentally responsible products in the food and beverage industry.

As manufacturers face pressure to reduce their carbon footprints, Ambersil Hydropower offers a viable alternative that does not compromise on cleaning performance.

The new degreaser is part of the NSF-certified Food Processing Safe product range, specifically developed to meet stringent industry standards. This certification ensures that the product can be safely used in environments where food is processed, protecting both machinery and consumer health.

The Green Force platform under which Ambersil Hydropower is categorised includes a suite of products that have been evaluated against rigorous scientific criteria related to environmental, social and governance demands.

All products in this range must meet specific criteria, such as being readily biodegradable, having low or no VOC content, and featuring a significant proportion of renewable or water-based ingredients.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, CRC Industries plans to expand its Green Force offerings in response to evolving regulations and market needs. Products that meet the platform’s criteria will carry the Green Force logo, providing transparency and assurance to users during compliance audits.
