Dolmio extends Intensify range with three new pasta sauces

Dolmio extends Intensify range with three new pasta sauces

Mars-owned cooking sauce brand Dolmio has extended its ‘Intensify’ range in the UK, with three brand-new pasta sauces that celebrate global flavour inspirations.

According to research from Mars UK, over a third of British consumers are craving ‘punchier’ flavours and becoming more adventurous with their home cooking. Responding to this demand, Dolmio’s new pasta sauces include mild, spicy and bold flavours designed for consumers to experiment with at dinner time.

For consumers seeking a mild choice, Dolmio has developed Mascarpone, Sundried Tomato & Intense Herbs. This sauce is made from a creamy tomato base, infused with mascarpone cheese, herbs and sundried tomatoes.

Sundried tomatoes also feature prominently in a bold Smokey Garlic & Sundried Tomatoes variant, designed to provide a ‘punchy flavour’ without heat.

Meanwhile, the spicier Sriracha Style Chunky Vegetables is made from chunky mixed vegetables including carrot, courgette and red pepper, with an added sriracha-style kick for an ‘exciting fusion dish’.

Sian Gavin, senior marketing manager at Mars Food & Nutrition, commented: “Fuelled by the rising demand for adventurous palates, we’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our flavour range with three exciting new options. Notably, Siracha’s popularity in pasta dishes has seen a remarkable 8% increase in social media conversations. Recognising this growing trend, we’re delighted to bring this fiery fusion to life for our British customers.”

The new flavours join the range’s existing offerings: Creamy Garlic & Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Smoked Paprika & Chili, and Sun-Ripened Tomato & Chili. They will be available this month in Morrisons stores, with Tesco to follow in July, Sainsbury’s in August and Asda in September. They are debuting with a RRP of £2.49 per 400g jar.
