Eat Real expands Hummus Chips range with new flavour

UK free-from snacking brand, Eat Real, has added a new flavour to its Hummus Chips range: Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar. The brand aims to accelerate its growth in the industry through its bold flavours and 'better-for-you' credentials. The Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar flavour is vegan, in addition to being free from gluten, artificial colours, flavours and ingredients, and is said to contain 30% less fat than regular potato chips. Eat Real's marketing director, Helen Pomphrey, said: "Eat Real has become pioneers in better-for-you thanks to its unusual ingredients layered with bold, unexpected flavours inspired by the combinations you find in your own cooking". "Balancing the moreish taste of sea salt with the sweetness of balsamic vinegar, the Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar offers a new Eat Real snacking choice that provides maximum snacking satisfaction." The launch coincides with Eat Real’s revamp of its Hummus Chips range, in which now five of the Hummus Chips flavours are HFSS compliant due to an over 50% reduction of their salt content. The new flavour will be available nationwide at stockists, including Sainsbury’s from September and other retailers, such as Tesco, from October 2022.
