Elijah Craig debuts new seasonal ‘Craig Nog’ cocktail kits and cans

Elijah Craig debuts new seasonal ‘Craig Nog’ cocktail kits and cans

US whiskey brand Elijah Craig has debuted a new seasonal ‘Craig Nog’ – a limited-edition eggnog cocktail designed for the brand’s Small Batch Bourbon.

Craig Nog features the classic flavours of the festive beverage favourite, containing Madagascar vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice with whole dairy milk and Elijah Craig Bourbon.

It is launching as part of a special Craig Nog cocktail kit for US consumers to make at home, each containing a 375ml bottle of Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, pre-measured portions of each of Craig Nog eggnog ingredients, and a limited-edition Elijah Craig pitcher. The kits also include whipping cream, a glittery gold star anise for topping, and a Bourbon barrel aged stir stick.

Consumers must simply add their own egg yolks and follow the included recipe card to produce a batch of the seasonal classic cocktail.

Throughout December, those based in New York City and Chicago can also enjoy Craig Nog in prebatched, RTD cans by ordering through the Doordash app or website. Each order will arrive in a limited-edition Craig Nog tote bag.

Lynn House, national spirits specialist and portfolio mixologist at Elijah Craig Bourbon, said: “While nostalgia inspired the creation of Craig Nog, we wanted to breathe new life into the beverage. The complexity of flavours found in Elijah Craig Bourbon were the perfect upgrade to begin with.”

"Elijah Craig was the first distiller to age his whiskey in new charred oak barrels starting in the late 1700s, right around the time that eggnog as we know it was first invented. With the launch of Craig Nog, we're bringing two iconic flavours together to elevate holiday drinking while maintaining the integrity of a tradition so many of us hold near and dear."
