Emerson has unveiled its latest innovation, the Rosemount 3490 Controller, tailored for level and flow measurement tasks in water and wastewater applications. This new controller aims to streamline operations, optimise processes and improve sustainability within the industry. It features an easy-to-follow configuration wizard that reduces set-up complexities and time. Its user-friendly design extends to a modern graphical interface, intuitive menu structure and a backlit 4.3-inch colour LCD, facilitating hassle-free operation and status monitoring. Paired with Emerson’s non-contacting radar Rosemount 1208C Level and Flow Transmitter, the Rosemount 3490 Controller offers precise measurements with straightforward configuration via HART protocol. This combination caters to a wide range of water and wastewater applications, including pump control, filtration, sludge handling and flow monitoring in various channels and structures, all while enduring harsh environmental conditions. One of the key benefits of this solution is its contribution to sustainability efforts. Accurate level and flow measurements help prevent wastage and overfills, thereby conserving water resources. Additionally, the Rosemount 3490 simplifies compliance with industry regulations by facilitating report generation and documentation handling. It supports various flow measurements, differential calculations and seamless data logging and sharing through Ethernet connectivity.
