Fermented Food Holdings expands Bubbies and Wildbrine product lines

Fermented Food Holdings expands Bubbies and Wildbrine product lines

Fermented Food Holdings has announced the largest expansion of its Bubbies Fine Foods and Wildbrine brands to date, introducing five new SKUs at Whole Foods Market locations nationwide.

These new launches respond to the growing consumer interest in fermented and pickled foods, with Bubbies launching its Kosher Dill Pickle Chips and Wildbrine debuting Mild White Kimchi, Pickled Red Onions and Banh Mi Medley.

Bubbies’ Kosher Dill Pickle Chips, available in both original and spicy variants, are notable for being among the few fermented pickle chips available in mass retail. This innovation reflects a strategic response to consumer demand for minimally processed, functional foods.

The brand has over 40 years of experience in crafting high-quality fermented products and is recognised as a leader in the fermented foods category.

Jorge Azevedo, CEO of FFH, highlighted the shift in consumer preferences, noting that 15% of Americans now incorporate fermented foods into their diets. “As a category leader for fermented and pickled foods in the natural channel, Fermented Food Holdings drives true incremental sales while leading the adoption of both new and traditional fermented foods,” he stated.

The Bubbies brand continues to utilise its traditional Kosher Dill recipe, ensuring that its products are kosher, non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free, and free from preservatives and added sugars. The introduction of the Kosher Dill Pickle Chips addresses a gap in the market, catering to consumer habits that favour ready-to-use pickle slices for meals and snacks.

Meanwhile, Wildbrine’s new offerings include culinary-inspired fermented vegetables, with the Mild White Kimchi featuring Napa cabbage, pear, Daikon radish, carrot and bell peppers. The Banh Mi Medley combines pickled vegetables with cilantro, mint, ponzu and lime, while the Pickled Red Onions provide a spicy kick with mild jalapeños.

This expansion not only broadens the product portfolio available at Whole Foods Market but also reflects FFH's commitment to responding to evolving consumer tastes in the food and beverage sector. As the market for fermented foods continues to grow, Fermented Food Holdings positions itself as a key player in meeting the demand for health-conscious, flavourful options.

Fermented Food Holdings is a producer of high-quality, fermented and functional foods that support a healthy lifestyle. Its growing brand portfolio includes Bubbies, Wildbrine, Flanagan Farm, Silver Floss, Saverne, Hawthorne Foods and Cortland Valley.
