GEA unveils Lauterstar 2.0 for the brewing industry

GEA has launched the Lauterstar 2.0, a new lautering system designed to enhance brewing efficiency and streamline production processes.


This technology aims to address the evolving needs of brewers, particularly in an era marked by increasing demand for quality and sustainability.


The Lauterstar 2.0 features advanced automation capabilities that allow for precise control over the lautering process, thereby optimising extract yields while minimising energy consumption.


Lautering separates the solid components of the mash, the grains, from the dissolved substances of the malt kernel. Lauter tuns (here at Bushmills) are considered bottlenecks for brewing productivity.
