Graham’s Family Dairy has added two new products to its protein range, including Scotland’s first natural dairy protein ice cream and a new protein cottage cheese. This move comes as the company seeks to meet the growing demand for high-protein food options among consumers.
The new ice cream, which contains 10g of natural dairy protein per 100g serving, is marketed as a healthier indulgence, with each serving containing under 170 calories.
Available in Vanilla, Salted Caramel and Double Chocolate flavours, it distinguishes itself as one of the few ice creams in the UK that uses natural dairy protein rather than plant-based alternatives or powders.
In addition, Protein Cottage Cheese will offer 30g of protein in every 200g pot and will be available in a Natural flavour. This product aims to build on the success of Graham’s traditional cottage cheese, which saw a 40% increase in sales over the past year.
Robert Graham, managing director of Graham’s Family Dairy, said: “As protein proves increasingly important in our diets, we’ve been hoping to create a product which can be an indulgent treat that also supports a healthy lifestyle.” He further highlighted the demand for high-protein foods that are minimally processed, reflecting a broader industry trend toward healthier, less processed options.
These products contribute to Graham’s growing portfolio of protein-rich offerings, which now account for over 25% of the company’s total sales. The launch reflects Graham’s commitment to innovation within the dairy sector while maintaining its heritage as a family-run business established in 1939.
