Heineken expands Strongbow cider range with new flavour

Heineken UK is expanding its offering under its Strongbow brand with the launch of a new strawberry-flavoured cider.

Strongbow Strawberry was created to bring more excitement to the cider category, tapping into the growing demand for berry-flavoured ciders.

The new beverage, which has an ABV of 4%, provides consumers with a crisp apple cider carefully blended with wild strawberry flavours and natural strawberry fruit juice. The new variant contains no artificial flavours, sweeteners or colours and is gluten-free and vegan.

Rachel Holms, cider brand director at Heineken UK, said: “Strongbow Strawberry is set to elevate our refreshing and great-tasting cider range ahead of the peak summer season. As the most popular profile in flavoured cider, Strongbow Strawberry has seen incredible consumer testing results. Our aim is to attract new consumers into the cider category, especially those craving fresh innovation and new flavour experiences.”

Strongbow Strawberry follows Heineken’s launch of Strongbow Zest cider in March, which features apple cider blended with lime, lemon and orange flavours.

The new cider is available in can and bottle formats and can be purchased now in Tesco stores across the UK, with further rollout in the coming months.
