Higgidy, a UK-based player in the ready-to-eat food sector, is introducing two new quiche varieties this spring, aimed at enhancing its product line-up.
The new offerings include a 6-inch Tuscan-Inspired Red Pepper & Marinated Tomato Quiche with Roasted Aubergine and an individual-sized Mature Cheddar & Crispy Chilli Oil Little Quiche with Spring Onions.
The Tuscan-inspired quiche features a combination of red peppers, marinated tomatoes, roasted aubergine purée and basil, all enveloped in a free-range egg filling and topped with roasted red peppers, cheddar cheese, and pumpkin seeds.
This product is designed to cater to the growing consumer demand for vibrant, vegetable-rich meals that can be shared during relaxed spring gatherings.
For those seeking a single-serve option, Little Quiche combines mature cheddar, red peppers, spring onions and crispy chilli oil, topped with Red Leicester cheese and crispy onions. This addition aims to meet the increasing demand for convenient meal solutions that do not compromise on quality or flavor.
Higgidy is also updating its existing Tomato and Feta Quiche to a Whipped Greek Feta & Roasted Tomato Quiche with Spinach. This revamped recipe includes spinach, Greek feta, ricotta and a free-range egg filling, topped with roasted cherry tomatoes and crumbled Greek feta, aligning with consumer preferences for Mediterranean flavours.
These new products will join Higgidy's established range of quiches, which includes various flavours such as Garlic-Roasted Broccoli & Vintage Cheddar and Vegan Slow-Roasted Tomato, Broccoli & Spinach.
The company aims to position these quiches as suitable for both indoor dining and outdoor picnics, reflecting current trends in casual dining and alfresco eating.
Higgidy's new offerings are scheduled to hit shelves at major retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose, from April 7 through April 30, 2025. The pricing for the Tuscan-Inspired quiche is set at £4.60, while the Little Quiche will retail for £3.
