Holla Spirits unveils new RTD canned cocktails

Holla Spirits, a Pennsylvania-based distillery known for its vodkas, has entered the RTD market with the launch of its first canned cocktail flavours: Orange Crush and Watermelon Crush.

This introduction comes on the heels of recent amendments to the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, which now allows the sale of canned cocktails at permitted retailers outside the traditional state store system.

The launch of Holla's canned cocktails reflects a growing trend in the beverage industry, as consumer demand shifts towards convenient, high-quality RTD options.

"With changes in the state's liquor law, we went right to work formulating exceptionally fun, flavor-forward canned cocktails using two of our most popular Holla Vodka expressions," said Patrick Shorb, founder of Holla Spirits. The company aims to provide a portable option for consumers, particularly as warmer weather approaches.

Market data supports the launch of this product line; in 2024, vodka emerged as the most ordered spirit on Uber Eats and was identified as the preferred base for RTDs across various demographics, according to insights from Park Street Imports. This trend underscores the potential for growth in the canned cocktail segment.

Holla's 12oz slim cans are set to be distributed in bars and restaurants throughout Pennsylvania state, as well as in grocery chains, convenience stores and recreational venues, such as golf courses and country clubs. The expansion strategy targets a broad range of consumers who seek both quality and convenience.

The company uses eco-friendly packaging and custom-molded Italian corks made from plant-based materials, aiming to minimize its carbon footprint. Holla's vodkas are gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan, with flavour components sourced from craft and natural providers.

Currently, Holla Spirits products are available in over 1,100 locations across Pennsylvania and have begun to penetrate markets in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey and Florida.
