Idahoan Foods has introduced two new snack pot products, Tapatío Triple Cheese Mashed Potatoes and Bacon Cheddar Potato Shreds.
Responding to research showing that 82% of consumers are drawn to foods with bold, hot and spicy flavours, Idahoan teamed up with hot sauce brand Tapatío for the development of the spicy, cheesy mashed potato product. The product comes in a four-cup pack, and just requires the addition of water, butter and milk.
Roche McCoy, director of licensing operations at Tapatío, commented: “At Tapatío, we look for partners that bring the same passion for their products that we do, which is why working with the team over at Idahoan was a no-brainer. Idahoan Tapatío Triple Cheese Mashed Potatoes bring the perfect balance of savoury, cheesy goodness and the signature Tapatío heat to an all-new eating experience.”
Meanwhile, the latest addition to Idahoan’s Potato Shreds line – designed to provide a ‘new way to enjoy potatoes’ – combines bacon and cheese, available in a two-cup pack. Consumers simply must add water, stir and heat in the microwave.
Both products are made with 100% Idaho potatoes, are naturally gluten-free and ready within minutes, designed to provide a convenient and flavourful snacking option.
Ryan Ellis, vice president of retail marketing and business development at Idahoan Foods, said: “We are eager to expand our most popular on-the-go lines with two new flavour-packed options designed for potato fans looking for convenience and great taste. The launch of these new products showcases our commitment to innovation and listening to consumers.”
