Premier Foods-owned brand Loyd Grossman has unveiled a new range of premium Italian sauces as part of its 30th anniversary celebration in the UK.
This move aims to capitalise on the growing consumer demand for high-quality, restaurant-style cooking sauces, which have gained traction in recent years.
The newly launched Loyd Grossman Premium Sauce range features three distinct flavours: Pomodoro and Fresh Basil, Pomodoro, Mascarpone & Wild Garlic, and Creamy Tomato & Parmigiano Reggiano. All sauces are produced in Italy, emphasising authenticity and quality.
Research indicates that 71% of UK shoppers are inclined towards cooking sauces that allow them to recreate restaurant-quality meals at home, with 52% considering premium pasta sauces essential for enhancing dish flavours. These insights highlight a significant market opportunity for retailers to cater to consumers seeking indulgent cooking experiences.
Sir Loyd Grossman, the brand's founder, highlighted the meticulous crafting of these sauces, which are designed to reflect the rich flavours of Italian cuisine. The production process involves cooking the sauces in stages to develop complex flavour profiles using high-quality ingredients, such as fresh Mediterranean tomatoes and olive oil.
Andrey Sokirkin, global marketing director for cooking sauces at Premier Foods, said: "The Loyd Grossman brand has built its reputation over the past 30 years for delivering great quality restaurant-inspired sauces for shoppers to enjoy at home".
he continued: "As it celebrates its 30th anniversary, we’re excited to raise the bar with the Loyd Grossman Premium Sauce range – bringing a whole new depth of flavour to Italian-inspired cooking in kitchens across the UK”.
The new sauce range will be available in Asda starting July 21, followed by Sainsbury’s on August 10.
