New global-inspired Lay’s flavours hit the US

New global-inspired Lay’s flavours hit the US

PepsiCo-owned Frito-Lay North America has launched three new flavours of its Lay’s potato chips in the US, inspired by iconic global destinations.

The new flavours, now available at retailers nationwide for a limited time, are Wavy Tzatziki, Masala and Honey Butter.

Greek-inspired Wavy Tzatziki features flavours of yogurt, lemon, dill and garlic, designed to emulate the taste of the classic creamy Mediterranean dip.

The Masala flavoured chips contain a fusion of spices including cumin, coriander, turmeric and pepper, inspired by the flavours found in traditional Indian masala dishes.

Finally, Honey Butter delivers a blend of buttermilk honey and butter tastes, aiming to transport consumers to Korea, the home of the classic combination.

Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing at PepsiCo Foods North America, said: “Our fans often post about the fun flavours they see while travelling abroad and continuously ask for them here”.

She added: “As the proven leader in flavour innovation with more than 200 variations of our iconic potato chip, we're proud to continue to demonstrate our expertise in crafting delicious flavours that appeal to the unique senses and tastes of communities all over the world".
