Truvant, a global provider of packaging and display solutions, has opened a new facility in Indiana, US.
The 244,000-square-foot facility in Indianapolis increases Truvant’s operational footprint to 15 facilities globally and brings more than 250 jobs to the area.
The new facility will support Truvant customers from industries including food with secondary and promotional packaging services.
Truvant – a portfolio company of US private equity investment firm The Halifax Group – says that Indianapolis provides a central location from which it can service 75% of the North American market in less than 24 hours.
The new complex features capabilities for kitting, fulfilment, assembly, bundling, shrink wrapping, liquid blending, pouching, blister packaging, e-commerce fulfilment and more.
The facility will support customers with manual, automated and semi-automated processes, allowing for a wide range of scalable contract packaging, contract manufacturing and supply chain solutions.
The site is located within a half mile of the Indianapolis airport and is immediately adjacent to FedEx's second largest hub in the world, according to Truvant.
“The strategic location of the Indianapolis site will enable us to expand our reach to create a stronger manufacturing network across the US," said Truvant CEO, Scott Lamb.
“We are now better equipped than ever to help current and future customers get their products to both retailers and consumers directly in the most efficient way.”
He continued: “We are excited to provide an opportunity for people in the community to work in the dynamic and growing co-manufacturing and co-packaging sector.”
