Gluten-free food manufacturer Dr Schär has introduced two seasonal products aimed at consumers with gluten sensitivities: Speculoos Spiced Cookies and Italian Panettone.
These offerings aim to provide festive alternatives that cater to the needs of the growing gluten-free market, particularly as more consumers with celiac disease or gluten intolerance seek traditional holiday flavors without compromising on safety or taste.
Schär’s Speculoos cookies, featuring a blend of spices such as cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg, and the classic Italian Panettone, enriched with raisins and candied citrus peel, are designed to offer consumers with dietary restrictions an authentic holiday experience.
Both products are free from artificial preservatives, aligning with the broader consumer shift towards cleaner labels and high-quality, transparent ingredient sourcing.
While Speculoos cookies have long been a holiday staple in Europe, Schär’s gluten-free iteration aims to capture the familiar flavours of the original while meeting strict gluten-free production standards.
☕As the festive season approaches, brands are introducing a wave of limited-edition products designed to capture the essence of autumn and winter. The company’s Italian Panettone offers a similar experience, making the classic, light Italian bread available to those who previously may have had to avoid it due to gluten concerns.
Available through major US retailers like Walmart, Wegmans and Whole Foods.
