Tate & Lyle has introduced a new suite of sweetener and stabiliser solutions tailored specifically for the Middle Eastern market. The launch aims to address the region's growing demand for healthier product formulations while enhancing taste and texture.
The newly unveiled ingredients include Euoligo Fos, a non-GMO dietary fibre, and Tasteva M, a stevia-based sweetener. Both products are designed to improve mouthfeel and deliver a clean flavour profile, responding to consumer preferences for reduced sugar and enhanced nutritional value.
Tasteva M is produced through a proprietary bioconversion process from the stevia leaf, enabling manufacturers to create reduced-sugar products that maintain a sugar-like taste at a competitive cost.
This ingredient not only offers a sweetness profile comparable to sugar but also supports the formulation of zero-sugar beverages, aligning with current market trends toward healthier options.
In addition, Euoligo Fos contributes to sugar reduction and fiber fortification, addressing key health concerns such as digestive health and overall nutritional quality.
Hussam Yacoub, vice president for Tate & Lyle in Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, said: “Our latest ingredient solutions are designed to help manufacturers improve mouthfeel, texture and shelf life while also supporting sugar reduction. Through our ongoing partnerships with manufacturers, we aim to bring new, exciting products to market that shape the future of food and drink.”
Tate & Lyle will showcase these solutions at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, taking place from November 5-7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how these ingredients can enhance product formulation across various applications, from beverages to dairy.
