TricorBraun has strengthened its presence in Australia with the acquisition of UniquePak and Alplas Products. UniquePak, based in South Wales, is a distributor of premium glass packaging solutions for the spirits, wine, pharma and food industries. Meanwhile, Alplas, based in Victoria, offers metal and plastic drums, taps, fittings, closures and in-house assembly services. With the acquisition, TricorBraun plans to use UniquePak's expertise to enhance its glass packaging portfolio. Additionally, the acquisition of Alplas allows TricorBraun to incorporate Alplas's complete range of industrial packaging products into its existing lineup. Andrew Allsop, managing director of TricorBraun New Zealand (ANZ), said: "These acquisitions broaden our capabilities for spirits and industrial packaging across Australia and New Zealand. The UniquePak and Alplas teams are highly respected for their expertise, focus on quality and customer service, and we look forward to investing in their continued growth." Travis Norman, managing director of UniquePak, added: "For nearly a decade, customers have relied on UniquePak for our wide range of design and sourcing capabilities, and they can continue to do so with the added benefits of TricorBraun's resources. TricorBraun's extensive capabilities, along with its dedication to quality and customer service, make it a perfect partner for our next chapter." All UniquePak and Alplas team members will remain with TricorBraun. The companies will continue their operations as stand-alone businesses, with UniquePak now operating as 'UniquePak, a TricorBraun Company,' and Alplas as 'Alplas Products, a TricorBraun Company'. Eventually, both companies will gradually transition to the TricorBraun ANZ brand. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
