World Wide Farms announces partnership with ReposiTrak to strengthen food traceability

World Wide Farms announces partnership with ReposiTrak to strengthen food traceability

World Wide Farms, a US grower, packer and distributor of fresh culinary herbs and greens, has joined the ReposiTrak Traceability Network to bolster its inbound and outbound traceability capabilities.

The move underscores the company’s commitment to food safety, regulatory readiness and transparent supply chain practices.

By integrating ReposiTrak’s advanced traceability technology, World Wide Farms aims to streamline the collection and sharing of traceability data in preparation for the US Food and Drug Administration’s Food Safety Modernisation Act (FSMA) Section 204, which takes effect in 2028. The regulation will require food businesses to maintain detailed records on critical tracking events and key data elements throughout the supply chain.

World Wide Farms’ president, Daniel Lyons, said: "At World Wide Farms, our commitment has always been to delivering safe, fresh and sustainably grown herbs and greens. To uphold that promise, we needed a highly accurate traceability solution for both inbound and outbound shipments. Partnering with ReposiTrak not only positions us well for upcoming regulatory changes, it also enhances our supply chain transparency and boosts operational efficiency."

Founded in 1986 and based in Wauconda, Illinois, World Wide Farms operates across the US and Mexico – supplying major Midwest retailers and foodservice providers as part of the Hoffmann Family of Companies.

To support its traceability efforts, World Wide Farms is leveraging ReposiTrak’s advanced traceability network, which subjects every data file to a rigorous 500+ point validation process. This ensures all information is accurate before being shared with trading partners. When discrepancies arise, ReposiTrak collaborates directly with suppliers to address and resolve issues – guaranteeing the transmission of only verified, high-integrity data throughout the supply chain.

Randy Fields, chairman and CEO of ReposiTrak, added: "We are thrilled to welcome World Wide Farms to our growing traceability network. Traceability is a food safety issue that requires a supply chain solution, especially for companies like theirs that manage both incoming data from growers and outgoing data to customers."
