Young's adds Asian-inspired frozen fish range

Young’s Seafood, the UK-based seafood company, has introduced a new line of coated fish products inspired by Asian cuisine. The 'Taste of Asia' range is part of Young’s’ Gastro brand and features four limited edition products: Korean-Inspired Chilli, Lime & Ginger Breaded Fish Fillets, Thai-Inspired Sweet Chilli Breaded Fish Fillets, Japanese-Inspired Lime & Soy Tempura Battered Fish Fillets and Thai Inspired Breaded Fish Cakes. Responding to the growing interest in international cuisine, Young’s is introducing a range of coated fish products that offer versatility. These options can be served with noodles, rice or salad, offering a fresh twist on midweek meals and expanding dining options. The new range features distinctive flavour profiles inspired by South-East Asian cuisine and includes classic breaded or battered coatings that are simple to prepare at home. Young’s has embraced the growing popularity of Korean cuisine to craft the robust flavours in its Korean-inspired Chilli, Lime & Ginger Breaded Fish Fillets. Similarly, the Sweet Chilli Breaded Fish Fillets and Thai-Inspired Breaded Fish Cakes capture the sweet and spicy tastes of Thailand. Lastly, the Japanese-Inspired Lime & Soy Tempura Battered Fish Fillets offer a tangy, umami flavour reminiscent of Japanese cuisine. Julian Fletcher, marketing director for Young’s Seafood, said: “We are always looking at new ways we can bring inspiration from the restaurant world to the frozen aisle, something which has helped drive the Gastro brand’s growth in recent years.” “With consumers looking to introduce more seafood in their diet, and their growing interest in global cuisine, we’ve created four new products that offer an easy way to bring more taste and excitement to fish at mealtimes.” The new product range launches exclusively in Iceland stores this month, with further retail rollout to follow.
