US food and beverage distributor Ben E. Keith Foods has announced its acquisition of foodservice distributor Florida Food Service. The acquisition includes all assets of Florida Food Service, including its 86,000-square-foot distribution centre in Gainesville, Florida. Founded in 1948, Florida Food Service serves customers in northern and central Florida. According to Ben E. Keith Foods, the deal will create its ninth division, which will be named Ben E. Keith Foods – Florida Division. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
