Charlotte Vause-Cross, brand manager for Chicken Shop at Birds Eye, said: "Our Chicken Shop brand [has] grown +30% in the past two years – there is a huge opportunity beyond this for retailers. With Birds Eye’s Chicken Shop range driving incremental sales to the total frozen chicken category by bringing in younger shoppers, and with a focus on taste and inspiration from the quick service restaurant sector, we’re sure that the new products in the range will help shoppers indulge in that Friday night feeling any night of the week.”
This week, Birds Eye also expanded its potato range, with the launch of two new products, Waffle Fries and Potato Dippers. Both NPDs feature a crispy coating and a fluffy interior.
Charlotte Pask, marketing manager for potatoes at Birds Eye, added: “At Birds Eye, we want to add excitement to the frozen potato aisle. Our new Waffle Fries and Potato Dippers are all about bringing fun and variety to family meals from a trusted brand shoppers know their families love...These additions are designed to meet the rising demand for versatile, delicious sides that attract both kids and adults.”
