Low-alcohol brand Botivo has teamed up with fine wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros & Rudd to unveil a unique barrel-aged aperitivo.

This drink, crafted from aged British apple cider vinegar and resting in Islay whisky barrels for three years, is set to hit the market tomorrow (January 3 2025), with only 600 bottles available.

The aperitivo features an ABV of 1%, which reduces to less than 0.15% when served with soda water, making it a distinctive addition to the growing low and no-alcohol segment.

The product combines a blend of botanicals, including cherry bark, peat, gentian and wildflower honey, resulting in a flavour profile that features woody, bittersweet and smoky notes.

The aperitivo is designed to be served in a highball glass over ice, complemented with soda and a slice of fresh lemon.

This launch marks Botivo’s second limited-edition product, following a successful collaboration with London brasserie Maison François earlier in 2024.

Founded in 2021, Botivo aims to redefine non-alcoholic drinking experiences. Its flagship 0% ABV aperitivo has already gained traction in high-end retailers and restaurants.
