GEA has unveiled its latest innovation, the StarchMaster CF 8000 decanter, designed to meet the growing demand for efficient starch extraction in the food and industrial sectors.
This advanced decanter is engineered for high-throughput applications, processing 15-20 tons of wheat flour equivalents per hour and optimised for both 2-phase and 3-phase processes.
The global starch market is projected to exceed $129 billion by 2030, according to Euromonitor, highlighting the increasing significance of starch derived from various raw materials.
In response, GEA's new decanter aims to streamline operations for starch processors, particularly in Europe, where it has already seen successful deployment following rigorous testing.
The starchMaster CF 8000 is equipped with GEA’s summationdrive technology, which uses frequency-controlled motors to automatically adjust differential speeds based on solid load.
This feature addresses the high torque and differential speeds associated with intensive starch processing, supported by a proactive cooling system to ensure reliable operation even under extreme conditions.
Additionally, the decanter offers an optional Active Torque Control system, which allows for precise adjustments to maintain optimal operating conditions while minimising energy costs associated with thermal drying.
This system also mitigates the risk of stick slip, a phenomenon that can lead to increased wear and unplanned downtimes in industrial machinery.
Another key feature of the CF 8000 is the GEA varipond C system, enabling users to flexibly adjust the separation zone within the decanter. This adaptability is crucial for responding to varying feed conditions, ensuring optimal separation results and stable solid discharge.
To further enhance operational efficiency, the starchMaster CF 8000 integrates GEA X Control for comprehensive condition monitoring, allowing real-time data access via cloud connectivity.
GEA also offers customised Service Level agreements to provide proactive maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime and efficient production.
