Ginsters has released a limited-edition Spicy Sausage and Red Pepper pasty in response to the UK Halloween market, which is experiencing double-digit growth.
The pasty features spicy British sausage, smoked bacon, red peppers and onions in a smoky tomato sauce and seasoned with a hint of chilli, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry. It can be cooked in about 12 minutes in the oven or air fryer.
The new product is made with quality ingredients, including locally sourced potatoes, with no artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives.
Emma Stowers, Ginsters' marketing director, commented: “Ginsters leads the way in flavour innovation for the savoury pastry category. We know consumers are looking for taste experiences and previous years have shown that our Halloween Pasty has been a hit with younger audiences, attracting younger shoppers to savoury pastry fixture (Kantar). Returning this year, our Halloween Pasty is set to give shoppers a spicy, spooky, tasty treat this season.”
The seasonal pasty is available in supermarkets nationwide for an RRP of £1.89 per 180g.
