UK vending and cooler supplier GVS has been rapidly expanding over the past several months and the decision has now been made to open up a new base in Normanton, near Leeds.
This is the first time GVS has expanded its operations outside of its HQ in Smallfield. This will provide GVS with a north and south base providing an even better coverage of the UK via improved transport links. The site, situated off the M62, between the M1 and A1 provides the ideal geographical location. These valuable transport connections give GVS the ability to reduce their lead time and deliver an even more proficient service to their customers.
The 21,600 sq ft warehouse can hold up to 1,200 machines in total meaning that stock will never be in short supply.
The new technical centre is not however, just for storage and distribution; it is being used as a spray booth and paint curing facility capable of holding three machines each time for refurbishment of old or ex-demo machines. GVS have demonstrated their ability to renovate machines to a high standard as they support a number of key brand-holders with their equipment refurbishment program.
The new premises will create additional capacity and therefore this service can be offered to other customers looking to source quality renovated equipment.
GVS is totally independent and provides equipment from the UK's leading manufacturers. With over 200 staff, 130 of which making up the service team, it also offers an unsurpassed level of after-sales service and maintenance to its wide-reaching customer base.
GVS is also proud to hold the OGC buying solutions contract (A126648/C) for the provision of vending equipment, water coolers and service maintenance to the public sector.
