Mondelēz International has appointed Carlsberg's CEO, Cees ‘t Hart, to the company’s board of directors. It follows the news in March that Cees ‘t Hart had informed Carlsberg’s supervisory board of his intention to leave the group by the end of Q3 2023 after serving eight years as the company's CEO. “We are pleased to welcome Cees to our Board. His deep experience building local and international brands makes him an invaluable resource for our company,” said Dirk Van de Put, chairman and CEO of Mondelēz International. Before joining Carlsberg, Cees 't Hart spent seven years as CEO of Royal FrieslandCampina. Prior to that, he held various positions within Unilever across Eastern and Western Europe and Asia. During his tenure at Unilever, Cees ‘t Hart served as a member of the Europe executive board. Mondelēz says the appointment increases the size of the company’s board to 10 members.
