Monster adds Rio Carnival-inspired NPD to energy drink range

Monster Energy has launched Juice Monster Rio Punch in the US, inspired by the vibrance of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival and the flavours of Brazilian fruits.


In a statement announcing the launch, Monster said its latest creation was developed with Brazil’s diverse fruit varieties in mind, blending exotic fruity flavours with a hint of spice and Monster’s signature energy blend.


Dan McHugh, CMO at Monster Energy, said: “With its combination of lively fruit flavours and energising boost, this drink captures the essence of the world-famous Carnival, transporting you straight to the heart of Rio. Rio Punch gives you the energy to party from the shores of Copacabana Beach to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.”


Monster’s juice line also includes Juice Monster Aussie Style Lemonade, Juice Monster Mango Loco and Juice Monster Pacific Punch among others.


The brand has recently launched a number of new innovations in the UK, including a green tea functional beverage and a new ‘Cosmic Peach’ addition to its Nitro range.
